Lighting Designer

Michael specializes in lighting musical theatre in the UK and abroad.

Recent productions include: the 30th Anniversary production of The Rocky Horror Show, ATG Ltd; Lighting Consultant for We Will Rock You, Dominion Theatre; Saturday Night Fever, for Joop van den Ende; Singin’ in the Rain, Royal National Theatre; Dr Livingstone I Presume? Riverside Studios; the regional tour of Smoky Joe's Cafe, The Rocky Horror Show, Birmingham Rep and national tour; Richard O'Brien's musical Disgracefully Yours in London and New York; Great Expectations starring Darren Day and the 21st Anniversary production of The Rocky Horror Show in London's West End and again for a European tour.

International productions include: Hurrem Sultan Dance Project for Hurrem Sultam Produksyion, Istanbul and Guldestan, for the State Opera of Turkey.

As Associate Lighting Designer, national and international tours include re-lighting the Really Useful Group's The Phantom of the Opera, most recently in Madrid and Stuttgart; Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. For Disney productions he was Associate Lighting Designer for Beauty and the Beast in the UK and Germany.

West End productions in the same capacity include: Fame, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Anything Goes, Aspects of Love, Les Miserables, Time, Guys and Dolls (London & Australia); Kiss Me Kate; Follies; Song & Dance (London & European tour); Bugsy Malone; 42nd Street and My Fair Lady (London & Toronto).

Regional productions as Lighting Designer include Smoking with Lulu, Soho Theatre and West Yorkshire Playhouse; Bouncers, Churchill Theatre and national tour and Blithe Spirit, West Yorkshire Playhouse.

Michael has lit many high profile events including the stage presentations of Mulan, in Disneyland Paris. Mike also lit the Millennium event at Disneyland Paris and events at Alton Towers.
