SARAH NORMAN
Director
Originally from Zimbabwe Sarah was a founder member of
the country's first multi-racial theatre troupe Over The
Edge which during the last ten years has toured widely
internationally.
Since arriving in London Sarah has been assistant director for
Tom and Viv, directed by Lyndsay Posner at the
Almeida Theatre; Comedy of Errors, directed by
Chris Luscombe at the Globe Theatre and at the Regent's Park open
Air Theatre, where she assisted all directors for the season.
Sarah is Artistic Director of a small theatre company - Bitter
Pill, which last year won Best Production at the Lost Theatre
Festival, with their production of GB Shaw's O'Flaherty
VC. Earlier this year their production of David Mamet's
Duck Variations was equally well received
transferring from the Regent's Park Studio to the King's Head.
Other productions as director include: Black
Light; King Baabu; The Geometry
of Love; The Interview; 13 Grape
Street and a rehearsed reading of Picture of
You as part of the Royal Court Young Writers
Programme.
Sarah won scholarships for her undergraduate and drama school
education at two US institutions - Macalester University, Minnesota
and Delaware University respectively.
Sarah was a finalist in the JMK Young Directors Award 2005.
