Dinah England
Dinah is an experienced and successful set and costume designer working in theatre and television.
Dinah has enjoyed collaborating with the Liverpool Everyman for the past twelve years, designing their hugely successful ‘Rock & Roll’ pantomimes - most recently Sleeping Beauty.
Productions for the Mill at Sonning Theatre include Towards Zero, The Unexpected Guest, Spider's Web and The Hollow, all directed by Brian Blessed. Previous productions there include California Suite, Guilty Secret, I Ought To Be In Pictures, Blithe Spirit and Plaza Suite, amongst others.
Dinah had a long association with the Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch, where she began her career as assistant designer in 1996, going on to design many productions including Steel Magnolias, Room at the Top, Keep on Running, Romeo and Juliet, Sleuth and many more.
Her work mentoring design students has led to productions with the UK’s premier drama schools including The Guildhall School of Music & Drama, LAMDA, East 15, Mountview and Arts Ed.
Television designs include The Tempest, Goldilocks and the Three Bears and A Midsummer Night's Dream for CBBC - her first foray in to television design and nominated for an award in the RTS NW in the Best Children’s Programme Pre-School Age category.
